In Visible Cities - $30.00 : Sternthal Books

In Visible Cities

Diana Artus

‘In Visible Cities’ is a visual adaption of Italo Calvino’s well-known book ‘Invisible Cities’ and is based on an English edition of which the artist adopted structure and layout. In Calvino's book Marco Polo reports Kublai Khan on all the phantastic cities he had seen during his journeys. In a similar manner Diana Artus is strolling through the visible’ cities of our time looking for the visual traces of such imaginary and phantasmatic places subtly overlaying and pervading the real contemporary urban sceneries. 143 pages, Soft Cover binding with special mesh cover in pergamin bag. Published by Plan Bey (Beirut) in cooperation with Berlin Beirut Multiples. Limited edition of 300 copies, signed by the artist.
