Coming in September, ‘Downscaling Of The Heart’ by Efrat Klipshtein constructs a love letter to a former lover, through a series of works made during their relationship, material derivatives of Klipstein’s near constant measurements of the negative space between them. The resulting drawings and sculptures, many derived from the cracks and fissures in the roads that both divided and connected them, breaks down a love story into fragments, precious by-products which meditate upon humankind’s tireless attempts to measure, control and tame, even the most ethereal of passions.
