Sternthal Books partnered with Volume Berlin to host a pop up shop and exhibition for Uri Gershuni’s ‘Yesterday’s Sun.’ Once inside the space, Uri and I had the idea to break apart a single edition, and nail each page, including the cover and the endpaper, into the wall, creating an experience where the visitors had to walk around the space in order to ‘read’ the edition. This was particularly exciting because in the book Uri travelled to the home of Photography’s founder, walking in his footsteps, and with a digital pinhole, rephotographed many of the medium’s first subjects. The event also featured a variety of Sternthal Book’s editions, and coincided with a great party! Good memories…
