‘Blind Arch’ is the second booklet from ‘Blunt Liver / Blind Arch’, and it features a collection of carbon paper drawings, a technique created by the artist where the carbon paper is folded into eighths, and kept in her pocket. During the past two years of Covid, at home with her son, and without a studio, Yahalom steals moments where she can draw, using sticks or hair pins, allowing the drawing to duplicate itself, creating a kaleidoscope of imagery that pops into her mind at random; the drawings are like a visual journal, a carving out of time and space for oneself. The edges of the edition are trimmed, echoing the format of the carbon paper. Interspersed is a shiny spread featuring photographs of models being buried in plaster shoes.
