The photo and video works in Frankfurt Notes were taken during a three month stay in Frankfurt while walking, searching and discovering. The city appears strangely unreal through the camera of the wandering visitor. sometimes completely without, sometimes with only gentle digital interventions, Hinda Weiss lets her images balance on the border between fiction and reality without dissolving their state of suspension.
Hinda weiss is a photographer and video artist based in Tel Aviv and New York. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and has received numerous awards, prizes and scholarships, including the Artis exhibition grant and the outset contemporary young International artist prize. Her last two solo exhibitions were at Ludlow 38 in New York and at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art in Israel. Co-published with Basis.
